Heroes of the Storm Beta: First Impressions

I got my hands on the Heroes of the Storm Beta I first went through the training tutorials. I haven’t really played any other MOBAs so I decided to check it out. The tutorials did a good job of being mildly exciting while still teaching me the game. It took about an hour to work through several training games. It was well worth my time and helped me see how the mechanics work and some of the key commands.

After that I tried out a few practice games vs the AI with Raynor. Aside from the fact that Raynor seemed OP and never died. The game lagged like crazy the network warning sign was on the whole time. I don't have the slowest internet option or the fastest I will have to do some more testing.

So far I have tried one other character, Uther, who in contrast to Raynor died all the time. despite all his healing abilities and did little in the way of damage. So still some fine tuning to go in beta.

Once I got a few games under my belt it was mildly exciting at best. The game lagged horribly. My first experience with a MOBA and I didn't care for it. If I wanted to play a click fest I would play Diablo 3.
